# Register your account

This guide walks through creating a DNotifier account step by step. Registration is free and takes only a few minutes.

## Before you begin

* Use a Google account you control long-term — it becomes your login identity for [app.dnotifier.com](https://app.dnotifier.com).
* Use a modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge).
* Disable aggressive ad blockers if the Google sign-in popup does not appear.

## Step 1 — Open the sign-up page

1. Go to [dnotifier.com](https://www.dnotifier.com).
2. Click **Get Started**.
3. Your browser navigates to [app.dnotifier.com](https://app.dnotifier.com).

Alternatively, open [app.dnotifier.com](https://app.dnotifier.com) directly and click **Sign up**.

## Step 2 — Choose Google sign-up

On the sign-up screen, select **Sign up with Google**.

DNotifier does not require you to create a separate username and password. Google OAuth handles identity verification.

## Step 3 — Select your Google account

A Google account picker appears. Choose the account you want linked to DNotifier.

If you manage multiple Google accounts, pick the one your team should use for billing and admin access. You can invite collaborators later from the dashboard.

## Step 4 — Grant permissions

Google asks you to confirm that DNotifier may access basic profile information (name, email). Review the prompt and click **Allow** or **Continue**.

DNotifier uses this information to identify your account and send important service notifications.

## Step 5 — Complete first login

After Google redirects back to DNotifier, you land on the dashboard home screen. You are now registered and signed in.

If this is your first visit, the dashboard may show onboarding hints or an empty **Apps** list — that is expected.

## Step 6 — Verify your account

Confirm the following before moving on:

* Your name or email appears in the dashboard header or profile menu.
* You can navigate to **Apps**, **Usage**, and other sections without errors.
* Refreshing the page keeps you signed in (session cookie is set).

If you are redirected back to the login screen after refresh, try signing in again with the same Google account. Clear site cookies for `app.dnotifier.com` only if problems persist.

## Signing in later

To return to DNotifier:

1. Open [app.dnotifier.com](https://app.dnotifier.com).
2. Click **Sign in with Google**.
3. Select the same Google account you used during registration.

## Troubleshooting

| Problem                      | What to try                                                                                        |
| ---------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Google popup blocked         | Allow popups for `app.dnotifier.com`                                                               |
| Wrong account selected       | Sign out, then sign in again and pick the correct Google account                                   |
| "Access denied" after OAuth  | Confirm you clicked Allow on the Google consent screen                                             |
| Dashboard loads but is empty | Normal for new accounts — continue to [Create an app](/product-docs/getting-started/create-app.md) |
